Backdoor

Located on Empa beach, between Pedra Branca and Reef, on many days as good as these two waves that form part of the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve. It is a very fast right hander with a rocky seabed that receives swells from the O quadrant up to the NO quadrant. The best time to access it is between low tide and medium tide, when you can find fast, manoeuvrable and frequently tubular sections.
